Unboxing Island Batik Round 2
In July we always get our second round of boxes from Island Batik. I was so excited to finally open these two giant boxes, and these boxes did not disappoint. I was so excited to see some beautiful colored fabric, but also Hobbs batting and Aurifil thread. Be sure to check out the video and leave a comment below letting me know what you think I should make with all this fabric.
This video has a guest appearance from the USAF jets, not once, not twice, but multiple times. (I do apologize for the noise, this is life living in the military.)

Unboxing posts are interesting because the real value often appears after the initial reveal, particularly when different fabrics, colours, and patterns need to be assessed for how they will work together in an actual project. With quilting collections, small variations in scale or contrast can affect the final composition more than expected, so keeping notes during the selection stage can make later design decisions easier. The same principle applies in more technical project work, where recorded information becomes much more useful when changes can be traced against the original plan rather than viewed in isolation. A comparable idea appears in Delay Analysis because understanding the sequence of events often depends on establishing what was originally expected and then examining what actually…
Local research can be valuable before making any significant real estate decision, especially when financing is part of the process. I found this information worth reviewing. People looking into Real Estate Service In Virginia Beach, VA can use these insights when preparing for their next property-related decision.
When a project uses the 2017 edition of the FIDIC Red Book, it makes sense to spend time understanding the particular provisions that apply to that form. Topics such as claims, payment, variations, notices, and time-related matters can lead to useful conversations among contract professionals. Looking closely at these areas can also help clarify how different project events are addressed through the contract. For anyone wanting to explore those subjects in a structured setting, FIDIC 2017 Red Book training could be a useful learning option. The College of Contract Management offers educational training focused on professional practice in FIDIC contracts. If you would like more information before enrolling, don't hesitate to chat with our admissions team. It is worth exploring further…
Professional handyman assistance can be useful when a homeowner has multiple projects but does not have the time or equipment to complete everything independently. This article explains that concept in a practical way. I found Professional Handyman Services in Santa Monica, CA helpful for readers who are researching local solutions for repairs, maintenance, and general home improvements.
I found this discussion valuable because everyday repairs can be easy to postpone when they do not seem urgent. A kitchen faucet issue, however, can become increasingly inconvenient with continued use. The information about Kitchen Faucet Repair offers a practical example of why homeowners should pay attention to smaller maintenance problems before they interfere with daily activities.
