I can not tell you how wonderful it is to have so many people reach out to me because they have purchased the Hair HIGH-land Coo pattern and are wanting to know what fabrics I used to sew this pattern up. That is always mind blowing to me, that someone would want to know what I did so they can replicate it themselves. So, thank you for reaching out.
So many of you were asking what fabric color/names I used to make mine, and how I had so many different colors of brown. First, I do want to say I have sooooo many solid color fabrics. I could probably open a small shop. I am joking but not really. Anyways, I have accumulated a lot of solids over the years, especially with how many foundation paper piecing patterns I have created and sewed. Solid fabric just photographs better and gets the design across clearer, to the customer; so therefore I have a lot of solids or fabrics that read more solid like (like grunge.)
I am going to do my best to add the color numbers (as states in the pattern) and the color name (again as stated in the pattern) and then the fabric name I used. If you have any questions please feel free to ask or comment or even email me. I will do my best to get those answered as I can.
The Hair HIGH-land Coo patterns has a total of 35 fabric colors. In the 25 inch vs the 35 inch block the 14 and 15 colors are swapped. So please be aware of that.

Lastly, I do want to remind everyone that the color indicator pages are specific to the size block. You can not use the 25 inch color indicator page for the 35 inch block. That information and numbers are specific to each block. Also, to help those who are struggling to read the color indicator pages here is a little help:
I am using one of the free patterns available on my website to help you, if you would like to download it for free.
That's it for now, but I will do my best to keep adding these blog posts so you all can have this information, and hopefully it helps make the process easier. Again, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to leave them below.
Stay Safe and Happy Sewing!
I am looking forward to making this pattern. Thank you for the color chart. I do have a question. Is this done with scraps or do I need to buy yardage? And is there a yardage chart?
Thanks, I should have read this before messaging you with a question you have answered in this blog. Love your work.😀
Thanks for sharing your fabric choices! Thats one of the hardest parts for me
This is such an adorable pattern, Sarah! Love it!
